HOW DOES MARKETS ONTARIO WORK?
Markets uses a store-within-a-store concept and operates on a consignment basis where vendors keep 100% of their sales. Because of this we do not charge customers tax, and instead charge a 13% administration fee on each transaction, which helps Markets pay for things like housekeeping, supplies and the hiring of trained sales associates. This administration fee also helps to keep the cost of rent down for vendors.
This fee makes it possible for Markets to operate the way it does and allows us to offer you great customer service, an enjoyable shopping atmosphere and exciting events.
